Victoria's elite boys' school sporting association. Eleven member schools competing in rowing, AFL, cricket, athletics, swimming, water polo + tennis. Includes most of the marquee Victorian boys' independents.

NSW's second-tier independent boys' sporting association — six member schools. Competes in rugby, rowing, cricket, athletics + swimming. Often called "the smaller GPS" but with strong academic profiles + competitive sport.

Victorian boys' school sporting association — 8 member schools, sitting between APS and the smaller ACS. Strong AFL + rowing programs.

NSW + ACT girls' independent school sporting association — 27 member schools, the largest girls' competition in Australia. Founded 1894 as the "Combined Girls' Schools Association" of NSW. Sports include netball, hockey, basketball, swimming, athletics, cricket, football + rowing.

Victoria's peak girls' independent school sporting association — 24 member schools competing across athletics, rowing, swimming, cross-country, basketball, netball + more. Founded 2001 by merging earlier associations.

Queensland's top boys' independent school sporting association — 9 member schools competing in rugby, cricket, rowing, athletics + AFL. Brisbane-centric historically, with one Toowoomba member (Toowoomba Grammar).

WA's peak boys' independent school association — 6 member schools. Competes in cricket, rowing, AFL, athletics, swimming, hockey + soccer. Modelled on the NSW GPS.
